Privacy and inquiry information

An initial inquiry should describe the decision, not contain the private records behind it.

What you send

The project form asks for your name, email, organization or professional context, and question. Deadline and preferred engagement are optional. Do not include patient information, credentials, confidential employer material, or private records. There is no file upload.

I use this information to assess fit, respond, and discuss scope. Submitting the form does not subscribe you to marketing or establish a client relationship.

Storage and access

Accepted form inquiries are saved in a private Cloudflare D1 database. A reference identifies the submission so retries can be recognized. Delivery notifications, when enabled through Resend, contain only that reference, not your message or contact details. Email sent directly is handled by the email provider for the displayed address.

Records are accessible to me and the infrastructure providers needed to store and deliver them. I do not sell inquiry information. Scope and any transfer of additional materials are agreed separately.

To request access, correction, or deletion of an inquiry, email me. I may need to verify the request and retain records needed for an agreed engagement or applicable obligations.

Site and inquiry measurement

The site can use Cloudflare Web Analytics when configured. Inquiry fields and email addresses are not sent as web-analytics events. Hosting providers process connection information needed to deliver and protect the site.

A small amount of session storage remembers only a recognized entry page and broad referral category in the current tab; it stores no form contents or email addresses. The inquiry record includes the requested service and, where available, a recognized entry page and broad referral category. Qualification, proposal, and engagement outcomes are recorded separately from successful submission. Resource downloads are available without an email gate.

Search and optional AI explanations

Ordinary search runs in your browser against the public writing index. It does not send your search terms to an AI provider. Search links may include your query in the URL; avoid putting private information in them.

If you choose an AI explanation and the feature is enabled, your question and selected public passages are sent through OpenRouter to an approved model provider. Do not enter patient information, personal records, credentials, or confidential material. The default AI mode selects complete source passages; selecting a passage does not establish that it answers your question. Generated interpretations, if separately enabled after review, can be wrong. Follow the sources and retain the qualifications in the original writing.

The explanation service requests provider routing that excludes data collection and requires zero data retention. Provider processing remains subject to those providers’ terms. The application does not save questions or answers. A separate usage database stores daily salted hashes of connection addresses and reserved request costs to enforce limits, without storing the original addresses. Daily cleanup removes operational usage records older than 30 UTC days. Hosting providers still process connection information needed to deliver and protect the site.

Explanations are optional and may be unavailable. Search and the authored reading trails remain available without them.
